It seems to me that if VAC really has been mistakenly detecting cheats, there's nothing Valve can do but keep very, very, very quiet and fix this as soon as possible, then kill all the programmers involved and torch their offices. Also people crying about bugged achievements, then discussing ways to exploit it, they didn't delete any of the exploits but when I mentioned SAM I got a community warning/comment deleted 'illicit or illegal activity' warning.
I'm pretty sure there's no way out of this. CSGO had an ingame announcement of a kernel level anti cheat coming soon.
HOW TO REMOVE VAC BAN MW2 SOFTWARE
VAC bans often kick in weeks after the software detects the cheat. This problem they've run into now is compounded by another bit of VAC policy, that of never sharing information on what the cheat was exactly or when it was found. Valve's support staff have, apparently, been courteously informing people that they're sorry but their hands are tied, which makes sense- if you've got automated software which cuts people off from one of your products, you need to maintain a policy that the software is infallible, otherwise the whole system comes crashing down. State that your position in this letter and list your damages (total cost of all online Valve games). If no resolution then: 2 Send a written demand letter to Valve. Try to calmly explain the situation without getting upset. I particularly like the guy who tries to prove his innocence by posting terrible kill stats from Counter-Strike and pointing out that he sucks and doesn't mind sucking, so why would he cheat? 1 Call Valve and ask to speak to a manager. Alternatively, if you're lazy or a fan of very sincere rock'n'roll, here's a YouTube video that collects some of the protesting forum threads in a montage. The server is fully protected with VAC and it can contain any addons you want. I basically took all the best features of every mod menu and put it into one. configmp.cfg) in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is safe and cannot lead to a VAC ban. To use, replace the iw4mp.exe in your MW2 folder (Generally Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2) and launch the game through MW2 Liberation. Anyone got proof that you wouldnt get VAC banned by using custom skins in MW2 you can never be banned for custom skins i use them 24/7 and ive used them.
